Thank you for your support with the 3rd grade Wax Museum! I loved seeing the students shine! The whole project turned out wonderfully and I was extremely impressed with the posters, costumes, and speeches. What a fun event!
Please email me if you have any questions about the last week of school events!

Curriculum Updates
Writing- We wrapped up our final Writing Unit with our Biographies for the Wax Museum. We will spend the next two weeks using our Writing time for Science.
Math- We will wrap up our final unit in math with a test on 2 step story problems later in the week.
Science- We moved into our last Science Unit; Earth Changes last week. We will learn about erosion, weathering, sand, fossils, rocks and minerals.
Social Studies- The students learned about some of the struggles of our country during the Civil War and why people began moving to Michigan. We learned about the Underground Railroad and its role in Michigan's history, along with the settling of pioneers in West Michigan.
Reading-We are currently reading a book for our Social Issues unit called "How to Steal a Dog". This is a fascinating story of a young girl who tries to help her family get out of a poverty. Please ask your child to share a summary of this story with you.
