Curriculum Updates
Writing- We jumped into our Realistic Fiction unit last week with brainstorming ideas for stories. The students were also able to start gathering entries.
Math- The students did wonderful on their rounding and place value quizzes last week! Students will continue to work on 3 digit addition and 3 digit subtraction this coming week.
Science- We wrapped up our Light and Sound unit this past week and finished part of our assessment last week; we will finish it this coming week!
Social Studies- Due to a busy week of reviewing and taking our Light and Color assessment, we did not get a chance to fit in Social Studies this past week! This week students will learn how scarcity, opportunity cost, and choice affect Michigan business. Students will be able to explain how these elements affect what is produced and consumed in Michigan.
Reading- We will continue learning about nonfiction reading. Students will explore different types of graphic organizers. We will read articles and apply our nonfiction knowledge when answering questions about the topic.
