Grammar-We spent the week reviewing verb tenses and how to use verbs in the past, present, and future tenses.
Social Studies- The students were very excited to continue on with our Michigan History unit. Last week we learned about the 3 main Native American tribes that lived in Michigan and began a group research project. We are also very excited to share our artifacts from our past.
Writing-The students are currently gathering facts about their topics for their non-fiction writing pieces. We are organizing the information we gathered into chapters and will begin drafting soon!
Reading-The students are very interested in our current Shared Reading book called Snow Treasure. We continue to add words to our own glossaries as we come across those that we need to understand. The students are also working on retelling books in the form of a summary by telling only the most important information.
