Our favorite adjective activity from the week was using adjectives to describe our classmates! Students were called to the front of the room and their peers were given the chance to write a positive adjective about them on a sticky note to stick on them. We then read the adjectives and shared our thoughts. What a great way to build each other up!
Our focus in both Grammar and Writing this week was the use of adjectives. Adjectives make our writing exciting by describing a noun or pro-noun in different ways. We learned that adjectives can be used to describe what a noun; looks like, feels like, sounds like, smells like, and behaves. Words such as beautiful, scratchy, pink, loud, scary, and huge are all adjectives.
