I am so proud of my students and the growth that they have made thus far in reading! I met with most students last week to determine their individual reading level and am very excited to share their growth with you at conferences in a few weeks. I will be wrapping up testing this week.
Thank you for celebrating our Informational Writing last week, the students' confidence was through the roof after all of the kind words shared! This means so much to them! I appreciate your support and donations as well.
Have a great week,
Mrs. Haagsma

Reading Workshop: Our focus continues to be finding the Main Idea of a text. Main Idea can be defined as the most important point or purpose of the text. This concepts will help with summarizing and retelling skills as well!
MobyMax and Study Island: These are two great learning sites that Park students have access to (Thank you Parents' Club!) We spend time each week extending and practicing our skills in the subjects of Math and Reading on these sites. Computer skills are an essential part of our learning!
